Government has started crediting interest in the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Account and Provident Fund (PF) account. The Ministry of Finance is crediting 8.50 per cent Provident Fund interest rate into the PF and EPF account of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) members. However, if an EPFO subscriber is yet to get the PF interest credited in one’s EPF or PF account, then he or she needs to put up a complaint at the EPFO’s official website — epfindia.gov.in.
But, before putting one’s PF interest credit complaint, one needs to check one EPF Passbook of EPF balance. One can check one’s PF balance via Umang App or by directly logging in at the EPFO website mentioned above. To view EPF balance one needs to download the Umang App on one’s mobile phone. Once the EPF Umang App is installed in one’s mobile phone, one needs to enter the registered mobile number and click at ‘Service Directory’ option. Then the EPFO member will have to go to the EPFO option and click at ‘View Passbook’ and check EPF balance using UAN and OTP.
Those EPFO subscribers, who don’t have internet enabled android or smartphone, can also check their EPF balance by giving a missed call at 011-22901406 from one’s registered mobile number too.
So, after checking one’s EPF Passbook Balance, if the EPFO member finds that the PF interest is not credited in one’s EPF account, then one can put a complaint by logging in at the EPFO website — epfindia.gov.in.
Here is the guide to put your grievance while checking your EPF balance:
1] Log in at the official website of the EPFO — epfindia.gov.in;
